Who We Are

David Gabriel
Head of Production, Producer
David Gabriel is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker, director of photography, and editor with over a decade of experience creating cinematic, story-driven content for film, television, podcasts, and branded media.
His credits include working in the camera department on the feature film A Dark Place (directed by Christopher Piñero, distributed by Gravitas Ventures), shooting and editing the travel-docuseries Advantage Omar for Tennis Channel — filming across Paris, London, and New York City — co-founding Sapo Studios podcast where he oversaw technical production for more than 80 episodes across multiple shows, and producing Omar Miller’s sports and culture podcast The O Zone. For nearly a decade, David has served as the in-house videographer for The Kia Forum, capturing performances by some of the world’s top artists and producing engaging content for its social media channels — a role he continues today.
David’s branded and editorial work includes collaborations with Harley Davidson, Red Bull, KTM, Sennheiser, Phillips/AOC, Spin Magazine, and PR/event coverage for Live Nation, MusiCares, and The Arboretum. He has also traveled internationally with the band Naked Elephant (Virgin Records), capturing performances and creating documentary content in Austria, Germany, Thailand, and London.

David Goldman
Chief Operating Officer, Producer
Originally from New York and now rooted in California for over a decade, David Goldman is a multidisciplinary creative with a background in performance and a passion for storytelling across mediums. He created a production company called UPP STUDIOS and spent three years consistently writing and producing original comedic content, releasing new work every Monday across all social media platforms, without missing a single week–an exercise in both creativity and discipline.
David is the creator and host of a podcast called SAPO STUDIOS featuring in-depth interviews with artists and creative professionals, exploring the real-life challenges of turning passion into a profession. With a sharp eye behind the camera and a natural curiosity for human stories, he has conducted over 80 on-camera interviews, and in his spare time has written multiple feature-length screenplays. His directorial work in the original short film YIELD, received festival acclaim, winning him best director for a short film at the Cannes World Film festival, and his documentary and narrative projects continue to focus on character, heart, and meaning.
David is a co-founder of Paperboy Pictures, where he develops and produces branded content, documentaries, and narrative films that aim to leave a lasting impact.

Benjamin Stephen
Chief Creative Officer, Executive Producer
With over a decade of experience as an executive at industry-leading production companies like Pulse Films and Pantheon Media Group, producing credits at streamers, networks, and digital outlets including Vox, Vice, Netflix, Oxygen, and Oprah Winfrey Network and experience in nonprofit and branded content development for clients like SpaceX and Mailchimp, Ben brings a comprehensive background in documentary, social impact, independent filmmaking and storytelling in digital media.
In addition to his role at Paperboy Pictures, Ben produces content for Vox's video team. From 2022-2024, Ben served as the Director of Content Development at Pantheon Media Group, developing projects from scratch and guiding documentary films and series in deals with networks like Discovery, History, and Peacock. Previously, he spent 6 years with Pulse Films in their Non-Fiction department, producing two seasons of the docu-series BETRAYING THE BADGE (ViceTV), feature documentaries TOO SOON: COMEDY AFTER 9/11 (ViceTV), COLLEGE SPORTS, INC. (ViceTV) and true crime special THE CASE DIED WITH HER (Oxygen). Also during his tenure at Pulse Films, Ben managed a development slate of projects including STAY ON BOARD: THE LEO BAKER STORY (Netflix) and a.k.a. MR CHOW (HBO). Before joining Pulse, he was a Segment Producer on BILL NYE SAVES THE WORLD (Netflix) and an Associate Producer on unscripted TV series for Oprah Winfrey Network, SyFy Channel, and truTV.
SHATTERED ICE, his first narrative feature film credit as a Producer, has picked up several award wins on the 2025 film festival circuit with a social impact screening series running through 2026.
